Description
Sea sponges are highly absorbent, ultra-soft and won’t absorb odors like other products. In fact, they contain enzymes that inhibit mold and bacteria. They last for years with proper care. Each sponge is 3-4 inches and fits comfortably in your hand.
They are sustainably harvested from Tarpon Springs, Florida. Sponges are living creatures that grow back after being harvested, which makes it a better choice for the environment than a synthetic sponge or plastic puff. Sponges can be composted back to nature at the end of their useful life.
Caring for your Sea Sponge
Disinfect natural sponges on a regular basis, usually every 2-3 weeks if used daily. Rinse under a cold running water. Soak the sponge in a small bowl filled with 2 tablespoons of vinegar to each liter of water. Leave to soak for 2 hours. Remove from the bowl and squeeze to remove excess liquid. Set the sponge out to dry on a clean surface. The sponge should be as good as new.
